This Fairfield Inn Medford Long Island is experiencing significant issues with staff conduct, cleanliness, and misrepresented amenities. Recent reviews highlight persistent problems including rudeness, false advertising regarding a closed hot tub, roach infestations, and aggressive management behavior. Despite one positive review regarding cleanliness and friendliness, the overwhelming feedback points to serious concerns.
Rude staff!!. Wh had an issue with hot water in our room. Told the staff. Returned to the room, same issue. They moved us and still no hot water. The GM was extremely rude to my wife and even told her corporate would not do anything if we called them. My wife didn't even say anything about calling corporate. Do yourself a favor, stay somewhere else....
Islaine, the front desk girl was extremely rude to me and my wife during the stay. She called us nonstop from 11:15am to 11:53am until our checkout. I understand checkout is at 11am but my wife was sick from the New Year’s Eve parties the night before. She harassed us and when I told her my wife needed a bit more time but we’re rushing, she was dismissive and warned us to get out asap. I’m a Bonvoy member and I have never been treated like this before. This was my worst experience with the Marriot brand. I sincerely hope something is done about this.
Roaches! DO NOT STAY HERE. There were roaches in the rooms, in the main dining hall on the floor and a roach walked across my plate during breakfast (see attached photos). This happened in several rooms of the group we were staying with. When I filed a complaint with Marriot Bonvoy, they reached out to the hotel and the owner LIED and said they offered me 2 visa cards upon checkout, which NEVER HAPPENED. I had to have Marriot reopen the case and the owner has still refused to help resolve the matter, citing they gave us cards already (again, this is a lie). I even asked them to pull the video footage showing that they gave me gift cards and they obviously were not able to produce it. Do not stay in this hotel! It is not the standard you would expect at a Marriot. Outside of the hotel, there were also men laying in the bushes doing drugs. We had to bring the kids inside as there were random people seemingly under the influence of drugs in the parking lot at night. The owner does not care about the property or making things right for their guests. Between the roaches, the people in the parking lot and the lies that the owner told Marriot Bonvoy, I would suggest never staying here.
This place is Super Clean and Beautiful. The rooms are like brand new. The hallways, the pool, gym and the eating area Spotless. Very Impressed. HIGHLY RECOMMEND...
I booked this hotel specifically because the website clearly shows a pool and hot tub, perfect for relaxing while my husband was at work. When I arrived, I was told the hot tub has been permanently closed for three years, but this is nowhere stated on the website. The only thing shown online are photos of the hot tub, which is misleading. When I asked for extra points or compensation since I would not have booked this location if I had known, the manager responded as if I should have already known it was closed. Her attitude was clearly aggressive and dismissive, which made the situation even worse. The shower pressure was also terrible, adding to the disappointment. Location was not relevant to me because I booked for the amenities that were advertised, and they were not available. This feels like false advertising and the lack of professionalism and customer service from the manager made it a very unpleasant experience. I hope corporate steps in because this is not the level of honesty and hospitality expected from the Fairfield brand Please find attached picture of the Fairfield website, not Google reviews and one taken by myself. As it clearly reads hot tub and pool.
The Fairfield Marriott was recently completely renovated and seems brand new. The entire team goes above and beyond and is very welcoming. The Manager, Kateryna is awesome. The hotel is very clean. Plenty of free parking and complimentary breakfast. There’s a beautiful pool too. I highly recommend.
The General Manger Kateryna Shevtsova is a terrible Manger!!!! Rude, unprofessional, unemphatic, and lacks compassion for people with a disability. She Falsely accused my family members of recording people which was totally untrue. She was recording the gym to show my handicap aunt that was in the room what it looks like, Now in a day of social media when everyone records things I can't even see why recording would been an issue. But apparently it is. This horrible person called the room and told them they had to leave because they recorded people. My family explained that's not what she was doing and she said sorry. However, she yelled at her and said she has to leave. She also told the lady my aunt is in a wheelchair and would need help finding a ride. They told her she has to leave and the called the Cops!! She was so rude. Even when my husband went and tried to explain to her, she started to get loud and even said "YOU PEOPLE". which was so uncalled for. we have stayed at many hotels and never experienced anything like this. I would hate to think this was racially motivated, but I really don't know what else to think as to why you would want to kick people out without ever hearing their side of the story. my family even offered to show her what she recorded and she didn't want to hear it. Never will my family or I stay their again. Not to mention there were ants.
?????????? Excellent Stay – Clean, Comfortable, and Friendly Staff! I had a great experience at Fairfield Inn Medford Long Island. The staff was super friendly and helpful from check-in to check-out. The room was spotless, the bed was very comfortable, and everything felt fresh and well-maintained. The free breakfast was a nice bonus with plenty of options, and the pool and fitness room were both clean and convenient. The location is easy to find, right off NY-112, and parking was simple. It’s a quiet area but close to shops and restaurants. For the price, this hotel really delivers on comfort and value. I’d definitely stay here again!
Paper thin ceilings means you won't sleep much if you have neighbors. Didn't sleep more than 2 hours all night. I have to rate a hotel on the ability to sleep and you CANNOT sleep here. Front desk took 1 call about my compliant, all my subsequent calls were ignored when the people above me wouldn't stop. Front desk girl was more helpful in the am. Parking sucks.
I stayed one night after a golf outing. The location was great. Accessible to stores and highways. My room, while basic, was spotless and had everything I needed. The staff were warm and welcoming. The breakfast buffet was good. I would stay here again.
